What is VoiceMyRun, and how does it work?
VoiceMyRun provides running tours with GPS-triggered audio narration, blending a run with with history and culture as you explore different locations. Travel at your own pace, and listen to directions and insights as you go.
How do I access the running tours?
Simply purchase a tour from the website, and a unique download code will be sent to you via email.
Download the VoiceMap app, and enter the download code to access your tour.
Full download instructions will be provided in your email confirmation.
Do I need a specific app to use the tours?
We use the award winning app, VoiceMap, to host our tours. Simply download the app and enter your unique tour download code to access your tours.
Are the routes suitable for beginners?
Yes! We design our routes to be accessible for all levels with crystal-clear navigation instructions. As the tours are GPS-guided - you can move at your own pace.
How long do the tours take to complete?
The tours vary in length, and the time to complete each one with vary depending on the speed you are travelling at. Each tour will have an approximate finish time based on a mid-level runner, but this doesn't include drinks breaks or stopping for photographs. You can travel at your own pace, so there isn't a rush.
Can I walk the routes instead of running them?
Absolutely! The tours work just as well for walkers as they do for runners.
Are there different levels of difficulty for the routes?
Yes, our tours range from shorter, flatter runs to more challenging routes with hills or longer distances. All route details are included when viewing a tour.
Do the tours include rest stops or water fountains?
Where possible, we highlight rest areas, water fountains, and other facilities along the route.
How much does it cost to use the tours?
Prices vary per route, but all are affordable one-time purchases. Special offers and loyalty rewards are also available.
Are the tours available offline?
Yes, you can download the routes and audio guides to use without an internet connection.
What happens if my GPS signal drops during a run?
If GPS is lost, the narration pauses and resumes automatically when your signal returns. You can also follow the written instructions.
What should I bring with me on the tours?
Bring comfortable running gear, a fully charged phone, headphones, water, and any essentials you need for outdoor exercise.
Where are your tours currently available?
We currently offer a range of tours in London, Bristol, Newcastle, and Florence, though we are always looking to expand our offering and looking to add to our list of tours. New routes are added all the time.
Are there plans to expand to more cities?
Yes, we’re working on adding new routes in cities worldwide. Keep an eye on our updates!
Can I suggest a city or route for a future tour?
We’d love to hear your suggestions! Contact us with your ideas, and they might inspire our next route.
What devices are compatible with the tours?
The tours work on most smartphones and GPS-enabled devices.

How do I report an issue with a route?
Our tours are routinely reviewed to ensure their accuracy, but from time to time, things may slip through the cracks. If you encounter an issue on a tour, let us know by contacting us directly with details of the problem.
Can I gift a tour to someone else?
Yes, gift cards or pre-purchased tours make great presents for fitness or travel enthusiasts.
You can either purchase a gift-card via our Routes page, or you can purchase a specific tour in advance. The confirmation email (with download code) will be sent to an email address of your choosing, so you can opt for them to receive the code direct, or you can send on to them.
